It has been a while between posts!, back for a moment and I thought I would share a few images of my own work. Recently I was very fortunate and received a couple of awards in the west australian building designers associations annual design awards. Snaps below of the projects that received the awards. A renovation and reworking of a beach house (standing seam zinc and rammed limestone walls), a resort styled building borrowing architectural language from the tropical resorts of Asia and a reworking of an ex-air-force administration building - strong bugger designed to withstand weaponry so all new openings were a challenge!

A few great looking buildings from all over the globe. Wish I could link you to all these designers but cant recall who did what, just a collection of images while drifting thru webs and blogs the other night. Inspirational work, some very new and some thats been around for a while.

One guy you should look at if you haven't already is Marcio Kogan - a couple of snaps of his work in the random selection below.

A few years back I spent a short amount of time working in China. So many amazing projects, very clever architects and designers operating in China. One firm I was not familiar with - MAD . Lost on the net today I found their web site and images of built & conceptual work - wow! Check it out - some great smaller projects as well as these crazy concepts below.

Just came across these images of this amazing sculpture which is apparently part of a promotion for a new reality tv show "London Inc" for the Discovery Channel. Very clever.

We made it to the end of tweaking the DDA web site and have new projects shaping up very nicely, a good day! Not sure if you just stumbled across this blog or came here via my web site, either way while I have your attention my web site has been updated. We have spent quite a bit of time getting the site to look and function the way it does now, even a little sci-fi look with the green back grounds! Many thanks to Mark Cooper for all his efforts with re-building my web site and James Stati for the new project images. I Hope you find it easy and quick to navigate, any comments please send them thru. The web site will remain the archive, static information while I aim to make time to keep this blog up to date and keep all posted with our work and thoughts. I should add that it hasn’t all been work, I have just returned from a great surf trip to north Sumatra – that’s me below in R & R mode (photo by Shane Peel).

I was checking a few old photo files and noticed a couple of snaps I took last year of the place we stayed at in Bali. Sentosa Private Villas & Spa - very neat place, well worth checking out if you are looking for good accommodation in Bali.
